Coopetition is growing in popularity in the business world, largely within sophisticated organisations which have come to realise that changing how they operate and collaborating with others is the way to stay ahead. A silo mentality – particularly within an industry like technology -won’t do anyone any favours. Sometimes, it just takes more than one great mind to solve an industry problem or spot an opportunity; it takes a group of great minds.
That’s why we formed Larato’s Inner Circle. Our event, which takes place twice a year, is an invitation-only gathering which allows senior leaders from all areas of tech: including cloud, security, AI, connectivity and collaboration, to get together and build positive alliances. It’s an opportunity to increase their network and discuss the industry with people who share their challenges, pain-points and opportunities - at the same level and from the same perspective.
Our attendees don’t come to talk about the intricacies of their business strategy, which they’d logically want to keep confidential, but rather chat about changes and innovation within the marketplace – which we all know evolves at such a pace, it’s imperative to keep our eye on the ball and see how it is impacting all tech specialisms.
Inviting leaders representing different areas of technology allows our attendees to see the whole picture but also join forces if they can see an area in which another business can fill a gap in their portfolio or help them support a valuable customer. The networks the event fosters allow businesses to push ahead and make strategic decisions in their collective interest.
We design the event to allow business leaders to achieve these alliances and informally network in a setting that is beneficial to everyone and, more importantly, kick back and relax. We choose some great venues and they get to hear from some impressive speakers. Anyone we have join us, has had a great deal of experience and success and can share invaluable information with the audience.
Our November Inner Circle will welcome Sir Ken Olisa (OBE, CStJ, FRSA, FBCS). He is Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London and a prominent and hugely successful British technology businessman and philanthropist. After working at IBM and Wang, he founded, led, and later sold the AIM-listed technology merchant bank, Interregnum. He now leads Restoration Partners.
He is a past Master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, with other members like Bill Gates, and has invested in, and supported many successful tech entrepreneurs as an enthusiastic mentor.
